4 injury crashes at sand dunes over the weekend.

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP – Four quad crashes that caused injuries occurred over the weekend at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The first crash occurred Friday, Aug. 9, at 5:48 p.m. A 35-year-old Perrysburg, Ohio man suffered a broken leg when the quad he was operating rolled over. He was transported by Life EMS to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon, Mast said.

The second crash happened Saturday, Aug. 10, around 11 a.m. A 40-year-old Canton, Michigan woman was thrown from the quad she was riding, causing a minor injury.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, two crashes took place on the dunes. A 26-year-old Westland, Michigan man suffered minor injuries after flipping over the handlebars of the quad he was riding. He transported himself to an area hospital, Mast said.

At 5:38 p.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old Roseville, Michigan man received a minor back injury after the quad he was riding flipped over. He was checked by Life EMS at the scene.
