Motorcycle rear-ends motorcycle.

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP – A 41-year-old Hesperia man who was riding a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle rear-ended a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle Saturday, June 29, at 8:45 p.m. on Ridge Road near Juniper Beach Road, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

A 38-year-old Hesperia woman was a passenger on the 1998 Harley. The 2017 Harley was ridden by a 42-year-old Muskegon man who had a 35-year-old Muskegon woman as a passenger.

The 1998 Harley was at the back of a group of motorcycles, and coming around the corner along Juniper Beach Road when he realized the group was coming to an abrupt stop, and he rear-ended the other motorcycle, the report states. The 2017 Harley was slowing  down and attempting to make a right turn with the group of motorcycles when he was rear-ended by the 1998 Harley.

The driver told police he lost control on the gravel/sand in the intersection and he laid the bike on its side, the report states. He could not avoid making contact with the other motorcycle.

“All subjects involved in the accident refused any medical treatment, and would not say if they were going to a hospital for later treatment,” the report states.
