Hart Police Dept. receives grant to buy bike helmets for kids.

LANSING — The Hart Police Department recently received a $2,250 grant to purchase bicycle helmets for children who are unable to afford them. The grant was received from the Dick Allen Lansing Mackinac Bicycle Tour Association (DALMAC) during a recent meeting of DALMAC and Tri-County Bicycle Association, in Lansing, attended by Chief Juan Salazar and Sgt. Kevin Skipski. Proceeds from DALMAC, which was originated in 1971, are shared equally between TCBA and The DALMAC Fund.  The Fund provides grants to promote and improve bicycling throughout Michigan.
