HART – A 30-year-old Whitehall man has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer after allegedly threatening his 69-year-old mother with a baseball bat and then resisting arrest by a Michigan State Police trooper, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

Charles Lee England, of 817 Livingston St., was lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $10,000/cash/surety/10 percent bond, according to his court file.
