HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Amanda Lynn Walters, 40, of 6785 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby, was found guilty March 25 of embezzlement $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; $920 in restitution; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Caprice Nicole Jones, 28, of 846 Shonat St., Muskegon, was found guilty March 25 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.

– Dick James Rasmussen, 67, of 1145 W. Taylor Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 25 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; six months probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; not to purchase/possess a firearm; no alcohol/drugs; must submit to testing, counseling and searches; and $1,665 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense OWI was dismissed.

– Kyle Wayne VanSlooten, 55, of 16265 Port Sheldon St., West Olive, Michigan, was found guilty March 26 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $420 in fines and costs.

– Esau Lemuel Guevara-Rodriguez, 26, of 7146 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 25 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Donna Marie Postema, 48, of 2780 W. VanBuren Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 25 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Kristin Ann Harris, 38, of 5215 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty March 25 of embezzlement less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $878 in restitution; and $450 in fines and costs.

– Lynette Marie Tyler, 44, of 634 W. Filmore Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 22 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Joseph Eugene Brink, 17, of 2805 S. Oceana Dr., Shelby, was found guilty March 22 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Brink was also found guilty of possession of tobacco by a minor and was sentenced to $145 in fines and costs.

– Lee Ann Yeager, 61, of 7093 S. 104th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of improper license plates was dismissed.

– Dorrell Antwon Thomas, 29, of 1346 E. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $135 in fines and costs.

– Mark Eugene Marr, 19, of 5171 Holton Whitehall Rd., Holton, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs.

– Rachel Holly Rogers, 38, of 73 E. 6th St, Shelby, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs.

– Rebeccia Simmons, 50, of 5649 Arthur Rd., New Era, was found guilty March 21 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to $215 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Marcos Garduno-Nava, 40, of 8840 Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs.

Antonio Webster Perez, 20, of 3712 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Ludington, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs.

– Maritza Lopez, 40, of 430 Harvey St., Shelby, was found guilty March 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

William Leland Gilliland, IV, 26, of 2862 Albern St., Muskegon, one count of domestic violence was dismissed March 26.
