Strangulation tops 78th District Court arraignments.

HART — The following were arraigned recently in 78th District Court:

Felonies

Randal Lee Via, 38, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was arrested by the Shelby Police Department (SPD) for a felony of assault by strangulation. Preliminary exam: April 8 at 3 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Jordan Jeffrey Chester, 24, of 9103 Hawley St., Hesperia, was arrested by the Michigan

State Police (MSP), for a felony of felonious assault. Preliminary exam: April 1 at 3 p.m. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Bobby Jo Scheel, 37, of 10283 Dickinson Ave., Walkerville, was arrested by MSP for a felony of forgery.

– Bonnie Jean Fetterhoff, 47, of 3185 W. Evergreen, Sears, Michigan, was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a felony of kidnapping – custodial interference. Preliminary exam: April 1 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

– Jerry Lee Brown, 53, of 137 W. Wilke Rd., Rothbury; MSP; operating without a license and operating without insurance. Pretrial: April 4 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $1,000/10 percent.
