Dinner to benefit family involved in fatal crash.

SHELBY – Shelby Public Schools is hosting a dinner this Friday, March 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Read Elementary School to benefit the Melchor family who was involved in a tragic car crash last weekend in Newaygo County.
“Our Shelby Public Schools family would like to have a dinner to support the Melchor family,” states the event posted on Facebook. Donations will be accepted as the meal cost.
Three-year-old Alaya Melchor died in the two-vehicle crash in Big Prairie Township Saturday afternoon, March 9, and her two siblings, father and a family friend were were injured.
