78th District Court sentencings, dismissals.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Shelli Ann Pfenning, 40, of 16586 Vondra Rd., Thompsonville, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail and $2,615 in fines, costs and restitution. Pfenning was ordered to pay restitution of $2,000 to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office for a damaged vehicle and $115 in restitution for officer wages. Charges of operating while intoxicated and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Jeffery Daniel Lotz, 21, of 8375 W. 1 Mile Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Jan. 16 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs.

– Bruce Ellis-Thompson Belinger, 35, of 8897 Stebbins St., Montague, was found guilty Jan. 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and a $75 fine.

– Sidney Gray Race, 53, of 4845 E. Buchanan Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Jan. 17 of taking deer/bear/turkeys without a license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail; no hunting license for two years; and $1,245 in fines and costs. A second count of taking/deer/bear/turkeys without a license was dismissed.

– Antonio Herrera, 22, of 2062 N. Water Rd., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 16 of failure to display a valid license. “Defendant provided a valid license – court waived fines and costs,” his court file states.

– Robert Allen King, 27, of 3752 W. VanBuren Rd., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs.

– Douglas Allen Stevens, 64, of 3016 Fenner Rd., North Muskegon, was found guilty Jan. 17 of failure to report an property damage accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $340 in fines and costs.

– Ezra Joseph Ovitt, 19, of 1503 W. McKinley Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 18 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $310 in fines and costs.

– Diane Lou Cameron, 56, of 2584 W. Growth Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 18 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.

– Georgia Lyn McNerney, 33, of 613 Water St., Hart, was found guilty of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.

– Andy T. Munoz, 34, of 2564 W. Scenic View Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 18 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and a $75 fine.

– Naomi Rae-Ann O’Brien, 18, of 1761 Shorewood Dr., Norton Shores, was found guilty Jan. 18 of failure to display a valid license. “Defendant provided a valid license – court waived fines and costs,” her court file states.

– Timothy Allan Robinson, 58, of 317 6th St., Jupiter, Florida, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail and $1,205 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of open intoxicants was dismissed.

– Dustin McKay Walsworth, 42, of 5883 Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty Jan. 22 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; no contact with the victim; 40 hours community service; six months probation; and $575 in fines and costs.

– Armando Gregorio Gutierrez, 29, of 1809 S. 64th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 22 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 13 days served; six months probation; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days; one year discretionary jail; and $550 in fines and costs. “Defendant has violated the terms and conditions of probation by testing positive for drugs; using another person’s urine; lying to probation officer and Oceana County Sheriff’s Office deputy; and having a warrant from Friend of the Court,” court records state.

– Gary Laverne Salter, 72, of 397 Skeels Rd., Montague, was found guilty Jan. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; must attend Impact Weekend; and $1,090 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Warren Wayne VanOverbeke, 50, of 6544 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 23 of animals running at large and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $200 in fines and costs.

– Sara Jessica Thomas, 27, of 8030 W. Lumberjack Dr., Mears, was found guilty Jan. 24 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs.

– Jonathan Michael-Cole Armstead, 20, of 3921 Skeels Rd., Montague, was found guilty Jan. 24 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs.

– Eric Brian Lange, 35, of 2503 Timberline Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 24 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs.

– Herbert Lawton Harper, 87, of 3201 S. 56th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 24 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to $215 in fines and costs.

– Paul Brandon-Scott Amos, 35, of 425 E. Taylor Rd., Hart,, was found guilty Jan. 25 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs.

– Justis Wade VanVleet, 24, of 399 Kelly St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 25 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $225 in fines and costs.

– Olga C. Arteaga, 41, of 5742 S. Okemos Trail, New Era, was found guilty Jan. 25 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $300 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Jared Theodore Greiner, 34, of 1370 W. Monroe Rd., Hart, charges of malicious destruction of a building $200-$1,000, failure to report an accident and second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) were dismissed Jan. 22.

– Jessica Lynn Olson, 41, of 165 Elm St., Hesperia, one count of driving while license not valid was dismissed Jan. 18. “The interests of justice no longer require further prosecution,” court records state.

– Jack Ryan Sinko, 28, of 1427 Gordon Ave., Lansing, one count of driving an unregistered vehicle/no trailer plate was dismissed Jan. 22. “The interests of justice no longer require further prosecution,” court records state.

– David Michael Otten, 31, of 348 Munn St., Hesperia, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Jan. 22. “The interests of justice no longer require further prosecution,” court records state.

– Kyle Richard DeGroot, 27, of 5115 N. County Rd., Brownsburg, Indiana, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Jan. 24. Defendant discharged from probation.

– John Timothy Adams II, 58, of 412 Hart St., Hart, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Jan. 24. Defendant discharged from probation.
