Police investigate attempted burglary.

GRANT TOWNSHIP – The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted burglary reported Thursday, Jan. 17, at 12:43 a.m. in the 3000 block of Cleveland Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

“No property was taken,” Mast said. “We do have evidence from the scene and are continuing to investigate.”

Other police activity in Oceana County Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 includes:

– 1:05 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, Garfield Road and 148th Avenue, Otto Township.

– 3:28 a.m., (MSP), a 59-year-old Whitehall man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, US 31 and Shelby Road, Shelby Township.

– 9 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Tyler Road and 124th Avenue, Elbridge Township.

– 6 p.m., (MSP), assault, 800 block of Robinhood Lane, Grant Township.

– 9 p.m., (MSP), personal protection order violation, 2000 block of 128th Avenue, Elbridge Township.

-10:20 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, 148th Avenue and Yonker Road, Ferry Township.
