Mears man hospitalized following drunk driving crash.

HART – A 23-year-old Mears man faces a charge of operating while intoxicated (OWI) after he allegedly crashed the vehicle he was driving into a building Monday, Dec. 3, at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Courtland and Washington streets, according to Michigan State Police Sgt. Charles Hockanson.
The man was transported by Life EMS to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon.
Assisting at the scene were the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and the Hart Area Fire Department.
Other police activity Monday, Dec. 3, includes:
– 2:45 p.m., (MSP), threats, 3000 block of Oceana Drive, Hart Township. The case is under investigation.
– 4:54 p.m., (MSP), a 26-year-old Fountain woman was arrested for assault, 500 block of Seventh Street, Golden Township.
– 7:59 p.m., (OCSO), a 44-year-old Shelby woman was arrested for second-offense OWI, West Johnson Road, Shelby Township.
– 8:47 p.m., (MSP), a 30-year-old Shelby woman was arrested on a warrant, 5000 block of Fox Road, Golden Township.
– 9:09 p.m., (MSP), drug possession, Lincoln Street, City of Hart. The case is under investigation as investigators await lab results.
