27th Circuit Court sentencings, posted Sept. 14, 2018.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:

Lorenzen

– Ryan Todd Lorenzen, 37, of 1103 W. Main St., Fremont, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Sept. 10 to one year in jail with credit for 182 days served; $1,708 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from a Sept. 28, 2015 conviction of receiving and concealing stealing property, is revoked.

– Ronald Stuart Monczunski, 28, of 1456 Oaklea St., Muskegon, was found guilty

of probation violation and sentenced Sept. 10 to 270 days in jail with credit for 270 days served and $258 in fines and costs. Probation, which stems from an Oct. 23, 2017 conviction of controlled substance possession less than 25 grams, is revoked.

Smith

– Shayne Chris Smith, 30, of 7792 E. Gale Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty April 23 of receiving and concealing guns and was sentenced Sept. 10 to 90 days in jail with credit for 39 days served; 18 months probation; and $458 in fines and costs. Once count of larceny of a firearm was dismissed.

– William Jon Monroe, 43, of 212 Michigan St., Walkerville, was found guilty July 16 of killing/torturing an animal and was sentenced Sept. 10 to 74 days in jail

with credit for 74 days served; 18 months probation; $1,417.91 in restitution to Oceana County Animal Control; and $258 in fines and costs. One count of cruelty to animals was dismissed.

– Ellen Mae Burns, 25, of 2242 E. Skeels Rd., Holton, was found guilty June 18 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Sept. 10 to 13 days in jail with

credit for 13 days served; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; and $258 in fines and costs.

– Elida V. Rocha, 39, of 2036 E. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty for probation violation and sentenced Sept. 10 to nine days in jail; electronic monitoring for 90 days; $14,235.13 in restitution; and $258 in fines and costs.

Probation stems from an Aug. 28, 2017 conviction of food stamp fraud.

– Damian Lee Schaefer, 1258 S. Wolf Lake Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Sept. 10 to continue on probation and remain on a tether with the stipulation that he will spend 30 days on house arrest only being allowed to leave his home for

treatment and reporting to the probation office. Schaefer was also ordered to pay the balance of his fines and costs, which is $68. He was also found guilty of probation violation in a separate file and received the same sentence, along with $258 in fines and costs. Probation stems from Sept. 11, 2017 convictions of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle and receiving and concealing stolen property.

– David John Hanson, 47, of 7476 E. Forest Glen Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Sept. 10 of a misdemeanor of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer was dismissed.
