OTTO TOWNSHIP – A Rothbury woman approximately 20 years old was transported to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon following a rollover crash Tuesday, Sept. 11, shortly before 4 p.m. on Cleveland Road near 116th Avenue.

The woman was a passenger in a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a 19-year-old Rothbury man, said Deputy Jeremy Swihart of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The westbound car hit an embankment after going off the roadway and rolled over, Swihart said. Neither the driver nor a young girl, approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years old, required hospitalization, but were going to be checked over by ambulance paramedics, Swihart said. It appeared the woman received non-life-threatening injuries.

The young girl was in a properly-installed car seat, and the adults were both wearing seatbelts, he said.

Assisting at the scene were Oceana County EMS, Grant Township Rescue and Grant Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
