78th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 17, 2018.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Jacob William Wolfe, 19, of 3835 Hemmingway Dr., Okemos, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 7 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail and $475 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of malicious destruction of property less than $200 was dismissed.
– Cecylia Marie Rivera, 37, of 1716 Union Ave., Grand Rapids, was found guilty Aug. 7 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of no operator’s license was dismissed.
– Lazaro Contreras-Garcia, 25, of 1901 Ludlam Rd., Miami, Florida, was found guilty Aug. 7 of receiving and concealing stolen property $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs.
– Brian William Kuehn, 53, of 5033 Lansing Rd., Charlotte, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 7 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Alejandra Garza, 27, of 95 Hilltop Dr., Hart, was found guilty of unlawful license plate and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.
– Rodney Owen Kempker, 54, of 1882 N. 136th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 8 of driving an ORV while license suspended and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs.
– Robert Martin VanVuuren, 31, of 4210 N. First Lane, Scottville, was found guilty Aug. 8 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dismissal
– Mallory Nicole Atkins, 31, of 2725 Forrest St., Rothbury, one count of domestic violence was dismissed, Aug. 7. “The victim in this matter is unwilling to cooperate with prosecution of the defendant,” court records state.
