Motorcyclist dies from July 28 crash.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — One of two Muskegon motorcyclists injured in a crash, July 28, on Winston Road near the US 31 Expressway, has died from her injuries.

Tanya Lynn Monroe, 41, was riding a motorcycle with her husband when the crash occurred. She died Friday, Aug. 10.

Her husband, Chris Monroe, 57, continues recovering from his injuries.

The couple were westbound on Winston Road near Rothbury when an eastbound pickup truck driven by a 45-year-old Spring Lake man apparently attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway into the path of the motorcycle, according to the Michigan State Police.

MSP Sgt. Charles Hockanson said the crash remains under investigation and no citations have been issued.

The funeral service for Tanya Monroe will be this Saturday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. at Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon with visitation one hour prior to the service.
