String of thefts from vehicles in Pentwater overnight.



PENTWATER — A string of thefts from vehicles occurred overnight, and police are warning residents and summer visitors to keep their vehicles locked.

“Pentwater Police Department and the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a series of larcenies from vehicles which occurred overnight,” states the Pentwater Police Department Facebook page. “The investigation is ongoing at this time. Residents and visitors are asked to check their vehicles and report any items stolen or missing by calling Central Dispatch at 231-869-5858.

“The departments are warning people to keep their cars, trucks, RVs and campers locked whenever they are left unattended.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact investigators through Oceana County Central Dispatch at 231-869-5858.
