SHELBY TOWNSHIP — a 47-year-old motorcyclist was injured Wednesday, July 11, when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle. The crash occurred about 6 a.m. on 88th Avenue at Woodrow Road. Michael Samuel Fox of Twin Lake told deputies from Oceana County Sheriff’s Office that his 2000 Harley Davidson had lost control because of gravel on the roadway. He also said the roadway was wet from trucks carrying cherries to the processing plant. He said his motorcycle fell onto the pavement and he was thrown from it as he was turning left onto Woodrow Road onto 88th Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies determined the motorcycle suffered minor damage but Fox sought treatment for injuries at Mercy Health Lakeshore Campus hospital in Shelby.
