HART — A 44-year-old Hesperia man face serving up to one year in jail after pleading guilty in 27th Circuit Court Monday, July 9, to felonious assault.

Jeffrey Scott DeBlock, of 2684 E. Garfield Rd., was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of felonious assault for the assaults of three victims, May 25, in Otto Township, according to his court file.

DeBlock’s other two counts were dismissed. In exchange for his guilty plea, his jail time will be capped at one year, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. Sentencing guidelines in the case are 12-24 months.

DeBlock admitted during his testimony before Judge Bradley G. Lambrix that brandished a knife in front of a male victim.

Sentencing is set for Aug. 20 at 9 a.m.
