HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– James Frederick Gallie, 46, of 490 E. Skippy Rd., Scottville, was found guilty April 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; must continue counseling; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Sarah Ellen McCulley, 25, of 1990 E. Monroe Rd., Hart, was found guilty April 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; and $940 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Stephanie Lynn Wheeler, 25, of 920 N. Harrison St., Ludington, was found guilty April 16 of malicious use of telecommunications services and was sentenced to $125 in fees and no contact with the victim. She received credit for time served in Muskegon County, according to her court file, and is currently serving one year in jail in Manistee County in an unrelated case.

– Randy Jordan VanDerZanden, 27, of 6188 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was found guilty April 16 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $20 in restitution to Hansen Foods and $400 in fines and costs.

– Steven Michael Ashburn, 20, of 506 Union St., Hart, was found guilty April 10 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. Charges of operating without insurance and unlawful license plate dismissed.

– Sean Leroy Johns, 29, of 585 Strawberry Lane, Muskegon, was found guilty April 12 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year and $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

– Brenda Kay Bogue, 58, of 4599 3rd St., New Era, was found guilty April 10 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $325 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly – drunk was dismissed.

– Travis Alan Love, 24, of 10883 Schow Rd., Holton, was found guilty April 13 of violating a restricted license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of expired registration was dismissed.

– Travis Jay Kelley, 31, of 216 S. Dryden St., Hart, was found guilty April 10 of unlawful license plate and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $125 in fines and costs.

– Benjamin Anthony Kittel, 23, of 1010 42nd Ave., Shelby, was found guilty April 11 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Nolan Brooks Howard, 20, of 525 Whispering Oaks Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty April 10 of operating an ORV in a closed area and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $160 in fines and costs. One count of fleeing and eluding in an ORV was dismissed.

– Shyan Marie Pfenning, 18, of 7792 N. 186th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty April 11 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Samantha Ann-Marie Vanderlaan, 28, of 14787 Apple Dr., Fruitport, was found guilty April 11 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Joseph Kendall Zuber, 26, of 10007 N. 52nd Ave., Mears, was found guilty April 11 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $325 in fines and costs.

– Paul Edward Bliss, 31, of 702 Dryden St., Hart, was found guilty April 11 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Estrella Gonzalez Ramirez, 29, of 68 Chapita Hills, Shelby, was found guilty April 11 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
