78th District Court sentencings include many drunk driving convictions.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Stephen Stanley Hammond, 48, of 5770 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was found guilty March 7 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Gary Lee Marvin, 25, of 3375 S. 140th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty March 7 of stray livestock and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $325 in fines and costs.

– Nicholas Adam Faino, 26, of 1255 Allendale Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty March 7 of fishing on a closed trout stream and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $215 in fines and costs.

– Maria DelCarmen Ortiz-DeGarcia, 51, of 3549 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– David Walter Pyle, 58, of 23189 Baypoint Dr., Farmington Hills, was found guilty March 7 of violation of a restricted license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs.

– Antonio Lee Wellman, 32, of 184 Winter St., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” March 12 to domestic violence and was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for six days served; six months probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $925 in fines and costs. One second-offense domestic violence was dismissed.

– Jordan David Golczynski, 26, of 1900 S. 32nd St., Shelby, was found guilty March 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Nichole Lynn Henry, 33, of 6189 Syers Rd., Holton, was found guilty March 6 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence and $300 in fines and costs.

– Rhonda Lynn Bourassa, 37, of 5589 N. Maple Island Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty March 12 of embezzlement $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; $1,095 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Claudio Sanchez, 39, of 569 S. Harvey St., Shelby, was found guilty March 12 of operating while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; no alcohol for six months/subject to random testing; outpatient treatment; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Milton Herbert Bazinau, 47, of 3929 W. North River Dr., Newaygo, was found guilty March 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $290 in fines and costs.

– Richard James Yager, Jr., 54, of 3091 W. Tahoe Trail, New Era, was found guilty March 12 of OWI and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Victim Impact Panel (VIP); outpatient counseling; attend AA twice a week for six months; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.

– Aubrey Lynn Charter, 28, of 6824 S. Water Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty March 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence and $290 in fines and costs.

– Daryl Delapaz, 44, of 7762 N. 186th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty March 6 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence and $290 in fines and costs.

– Dick James Rasmussmen, 66, of 1145 W. Taylor Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); VIP; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Matthew Aaron Eitniear, 33, of 711 A. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; must complete counseling; VIP; and $940 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Gordon Allen Reed, 41, of 44 Grant St., Shelby, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; attend AA twice a week; no alcohol/drugs/subject to random testing; and $1,050 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Timothy James Laurie, 54, of 618 River Walk St., Hastings, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; must complete First Offenders Group at Journey; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Zachary Tyler Payne, 23, of 4310 N. 168th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; VIP; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of OWI was dismissed.

– Alexander Storm Becker, 26, of 3673 5 Mile Rd., Grand Rapids, was found guilty March 12 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Medical Assistance Transportation Program; AA (currently enrolled); VIP; and $1,105 in fines and costs. One count of OWI was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Daniel Jenaro Quijas, 54, of 6782 W. Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty March 12 of driving while license suspended and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; one year discretionary jail for one year to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of third-offense OWI was dismissed.
