Girl, 11, apprehended by police for felonious assault.

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — An 11-year-old Hesperia girl was apprehended by Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post for felonious assault Monday, March 5, at 7:17 p.m. in the 4000 block of Maple Island Road, according Sgt. Charles Hockanson.

No other details regarding what type of weapon was used or if any injuries resulted from the alleged assault were available. The report is not completed.

In most juvenile situations, the suspect is turned over to a parent or parents following apprehension, Hockanson said.

Other MSP activity Monday, March 5, 2018 includes:

– 1:30 p.m., larceny of prescription pills, 5000 block of South 136th Avenue, Otto Township.

– 3 p.m., a 24-year-old Rothbury man was arrested for driving without an operator’s license, Winston Road near Water Road, Village of Rothbury.
