Obituary: Pauline Kish, 93, Hesperia.

Pauline Esther Kish (Willick), 93, of Hesperia and formerly of Muskegon, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 9, 2017.  She was the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Bearss) Willick.  Pauline married Valentine “Val” Kish on May 28, 1945, celebrating 68 years of marriage.

She was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, member of American Legion Post 411, Ferry United Methodist Church, and past member of Order of the Eastern Star and Amaranth.  Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a great cook and baker and no one left her table hungry!  Besides spending time with her family, Pauline enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed other needlework.  Her children, grandchildren and many others have enjoyed quilts, clothing, stuffed animals and many other handmade gifts.

Surviving Pauline are her children, Dorothy (Larry) Draper, Barbara (James) Duram, Daniel (Pamela) Kish and Paula (Charles) Hall; grandchildren, Hans (Christie) Tresolini, Christopher (Bethany) Duram, Jessica (Mark) Tefft, Michael (Shanna Keur) Hall, David (Jami Steger) Hall, Jeffrey (Valerie) Hall, Samantha (James Conley) Hall and Eric Corley; and 11 great-grandchildren.  Pauline is also survived by her sister, Mary Jane Wiegmink; brother, Clarence (Pat) Willick; sister-in-law, Marge Willick; brother-in-law, David (Corrine) Kish; and many nieces and nephews.  Loved by many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Val; her brother, Lyle WIllick; sister, Maxine Willick; and her parents.

The family would like to thank Pauline’s special caregiver, Sue Buckhalter, for her support and loving care.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13th, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.  The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 14th, 11 am at Ferry United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Hane officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI  49202 or Ferry United Methodist Church, 2215 E. Main Street, Shelby, MI  49455.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shelby.
