Hart man hurt after crashing car into tree on icy road.

HART TOWNSHIP — A 20-year-old Hart man suffered minor injuries after crashing his car into a tree Thursday evening, Dec. 7, on “ice-covered” West Filmore Road near North Water Road, according to an accident report from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.
The man was westbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala at 8:30 p.m. when he lost control on the icy road; ran off road; and collided with a tree, the report states.
The man, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported by Oceana County EMS to Mercy Health Lakeshore Campus in Shelby.
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, according to the report.
