Scottville boy hurt in head-on dirt bike/car crash.

WEARE TOWNSHIP — A 15-year-old Scottville boy was injured after the 2001 Suzuki 125 dirt bike he was riding collided head-on with a 2000 Volkswagon Passat Sunday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m. on River Ridge Road east of North 96th Avenue near Pentwater, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The boy was taken by ambulance to an area hospital after being thrown from the dirt bike.
He was westbound on River Ridge Road when he rounded a small curve in the roadway and hit the front of the Passat, the report states.
The 52-year-old Holland, Michigan man who was driving the Passat was not injured.
The report did not indicate whether or not the dirt bike rider was a wearing a helmet.
