78th District Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Alex Christian Jobbins-Ortiz, 21, of 602 S. Madison St., Ludington, was found guilty May 15 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Jeffrey Brian MacArthur, 27, of 304 E. Filer, Ludington, was found guilty May 15 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Megan Marie Fader, 22, of 1649 Waldorf St., NW, Walker, Michigan, was found guilty May 15 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery dismissed.

– Jesse Shane Lopez, 35, of 314 S. Hart St., Hart, was found guilty May 15 of malicious destruction of property (MDOP) $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to nine days in jail and one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence with credit for time served if imposed. He was also found guilty of domestic violence and was sentenced to nine days in jail; six months probation; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; $925 in fines and costs; and no contact with the victim and victim’s baby. Jail time runs concurrently. Court will leave restitution open for 60 days. One count of fourth-degree child abuse was dismissed.

– Christopher Lynn Lubbers, 45, of 7750 S. Comstock Ave., Fremont, was found guilty May 15 of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to nine days in jail; six months probation; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $925 in fines and costs. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed.

Dismissal

– Isaiah Daniel Aspy, 20, of 2308 N 128th Ave., Hart, one count of operating under the influence of drugs was dismissed May 12. “Defendant has been charged with a felony, and this misdemeanor charge appears on the same complaint. This complaint is redundant,” his file states.
