Shelby man arrested for stun gun possession.

SHELBY — A 22-year-old Shelby man was arrested for possession of a stun gun, or Taser, by Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post Wednesday, April 26, at 8:19 p.m. following a traffic stop on Oceana Drive near Grant Street.
It is legal in Michigan for civilians to have stun guns, but they must obtain a concealed pistol license and training. Those charged with stun gun possession face a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.
The man was also charged with a misdemeanor of operating a vehicle without insurance.
