HART — Oceana County Sheriff’s Office Detective Mark Schneider was recognized for his 20 years of service at the Oceana County Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday, April 13.

Schneider received his 20-year recognition award. He served in the uniformed services division prior to his assignment with the detective bureau.

Ed Lombard is walking 8 miles from Ludington to just outside of Scottville with a 25-pound wooden cross to honor the journey Jesus made to die on the cross on Good Friday. The 61 year-old will end his journey at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Amber Township just west of the Scottville city limits. This is his second year making the walk and said he continues to do so annually as long as health allows it. #GoodFriday.
