HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Saul Castro-Alvarado, 19, of 581 S. Oceana Dr., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 7 of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). “Defendant is to contact the prosecutor’s office for possible dismissal after six months if no further problems,” his court file states.

– Steve E. Hern, 51, of 614 S. State St., Hart, was found guilty by the court Feb. 7 of fire – burning household trash and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year.

– Anthony Shawn Blamer, 52, of 8990 Cedar Creek Dr., Holton, was found guilty Feb. 7 of driving an unregistered vehicle/no trailer plate and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $215 in fines and costs.

– Byron Andrew Davis, 45, of 3361 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 6 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs.

– Travis Arden Clements, 35, of 5622 Water Rd., New Era, was found guilty Feb. 6 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Donna Kay Boynton, 57, of 3013 8th St., Muskegon Heights, was found guilty Jan. 9 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated and one count of driving while license not valid were dismissed.

– Richard Steven Howard, Jr., 33, of 1463 S. Brooks Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 6 of assault and battery and and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Daniel Scott Horsley, 50, of 2374 Sanders St., Custer, was found guilty Feb. 1 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of driving without insurance was dismissed.

– Rodney Gene Ramsvig, 68, of 7011 E. Darlington Lake Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 6 of recreational trespassing and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $315 in fines and costs.

– Jamie Ann Brown, 28, of 2116 Division Ave., Apt 1, Fremont, was found guilty Feb. 6 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Ronald Errol Morton, 57, of 1165 E. Wilson Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 6 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Kasey William DeWitt, 20, of 1851 W. Pike Rd., New Era, was found guilty Feb. 6 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Antonio Luna, Jr., 34, of 2919 E. Scout Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 6 of larceny $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $894 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Brent Richard Norberg, 45, of 4445 S. Maple Island Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 1 of driving while license suspended and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

– Jaelin Keith Davis, 21, of 4533 Beckinshire Dr., Comstock Park, one count of trespassing was dismissed Feb. 6 on a delayed sentence.

– Robert John Engstrom, 36, of 7781 S. 48th Ave., Montague, one count of improper transport of medical marijuana was dismissed Feb. 1. “The appellate courts have ruled this statute unconstitutional and not enforceable,” his court file states.

– Christian Salgado-Velasquez, 17, of 411 Courtland St., Hart, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Feb. 6. “This is a brother-sister fight; the defendant spent a day in jail before being bonded out; defendant is 17. The interests of justice do not warrant further prosecution of this matter,” his court file states.

– Dolly Marie Little, 39, of 412 Hart St., Hart, one count of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was dismissed Feb. 7. “The interests of justice do not warrant further prosecution of this matter,” her court file states.
