HART TOWNSHIP — A 24-year-old Walkerville man was arrested by Oceana County Sheriff’s deputies for operating while intoxicated Thursday, Jan. 26, at 3:07 a.m. following a rollover crash at the intersection of State and Karen streets.

The Hart Police Department (HPD) assisted at the scene. The crash, which was dispatched shortly before 1 a.m., involved a downed power line, according to dispatch information.

According to a witness, the suspect fled the scene following the crash, and the downed power line caused a power outage in a nearby subdivision.

– 12:50 p.m., (HPD), a 37-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic assault, 700 block of East Main Street, City of Hart.

– 4:30 a.m., (HPD), larceny reported, (originally occurred on Jan. 12), 200 block of Dryden Street, City of Hart. An investigation is ongoing.

– 8:20 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), car seat installed, 100 block of North Michigan Avenue, Shelby Village.

– 3:45 p.m., (HPD), assist to Oceana County Jail, attempt to locate, 400 block of Courtland Street, City of Hart. Individual was located.

– 4:20 p.m., (HPD), a 23-year-old Hart man was arrested for a personal protection order (PPO) violation, 20 block of Mechanic Street, City of Hart.

– 5:15 p.m., (MSP), rollover crash causing minor injuries, 72nd Avenue and Baseline Road, Hart Township.

– 5:30 p.m., (HPD), larceny theft from a motor vehicle, 3000 block of West Polk Road, City of Hart. A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle. An investigation in ongoing.

– 8:39 p.m., (OCSO), death investigation, 3200 block of South 144th Avenue, Ferry Township. A 76-year-old Hesperia man died of what appears to be natural causes, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

– 8:48 p.m., (OCSO), a 19-year-old Rothbury woman was arrested for assault, 7100 block of South 88th Avenue, Grant Township.
