SHELBY — The Oceana County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition has opportunities for middle and high school students and parents to “Join the Conversation” about youth drug and alcohol use in Oceana County during a brief focus group discussion Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 4-5 p.m. at The Ladder Community Center.

Focus groups will not ask participants about personal behaviors, but rather what they see others doing in the community. Each participant will receive a free meal and will be presented a Visa rewards gift card: $15 for middle school participants; $20 for high school participants; and $25 for parents.
