Help wanted: news reporter

Mason County Press and Oceana County Press (Media Group 31 LLC) are looking for a reporter to cover municipal, school and general news beats. 

Journalism experience and/or familiarity of local politics, governments, commerce and schools preferred. Should have a basic understanding of computers, photography and social media. Video and audio experience a bonus! Must have laptop or tablet and mobile phone. 

This is a freelance position. Work schedule is flexible, up to 20 hours a week. Work would include evening work and some weekends. Assignments may include coverage in Manistee and Oceana counties, in addition to Mason.
