78th District Court arraignments

HART – The following were arraigned recently in front of the 78th District Court magistrate:

Felony

– Maria R. Escamilla, 30, of 103 S. Courtland, Apt. 1, Hart, was arrested April 23 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for a felony of food stamps fraud over $1,000. Preliminary conference: May 11 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety.

Misdemeanors

– Jessica Ruth-Ann Dykema, 32, of 3791 Molly Blvd., Muskegon, was arrested April 24 by the Hesperia Police Department for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Pretrial: May 20 at 3 p.m. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety.

– Kristopher Jay Humphreys, 37, of 1452 W. Winston Rd., Rothbury, was arrested April 21 for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: May 20 at 1: 45 p.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Ryan Joshua Griffin, 23, of 3054 N. Russawood Dr., Twin Lake, was arrested April 19 by the DNR for a misdemeanor of possessing spear along trout stream. Pretrial: May 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal.

– Alexander James Platt, 21, of 2432 Oak St., Twin Lake, was arrested April 21 by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a misdemeanor of DWLS. Pretrial: May 12 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $1,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Abel Raul Mendez-Ponce, 55, of 9123 Woodrow Rd., Shelby, was arrested April 18 by the Shelby Police Department for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: May 12 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

– Robert Joseph Jeffries, 60, of 457 E. Third St., Pentwater, was arrested April 16 by the Pentwater Police Department for a misdemeanor of disorderly person – obscene conduct. Pretrial: May 12 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Jonathan Henry Hoffman, 30, of 7363 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was arrested April 16 by the Michigan State Police (MSP) for a misdemeanor of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. Pretrial: May 20 at 3:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent.
