April 21, 2015

OCSO cruiserWALKERVILLE — The 31-year-old woman accused of stabbing her 57-year-old father last week is currently in a medical facility in the Kent County area, and police plan to charge her with felonious assault when she is released from the facility, stated Lt. Craig Mast of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning, April 21.

It is alleged that the woman, who was unprovoked, stabbed her father twice in the back and once in the back of the head at a residence in the 200 block of South Hamon St. The man was treated for the stab wounds at Mercy Health Lakeshore Campus in Shelby and released.

“We have had a history with this suspect,” said Mast earlier. “There has been previous contact with law enforcement.”
