27th Circuit Court sentencings

HART — The following were sentenced Dec.8 in 27th Circuit Court:

Hampton

Hampton

– Jerome Kenneth Hampton, 19, of East Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 27 of attempted larceny $1,000-$20,000. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 41 days served; 41 days forthwith; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation; no alcohol/drugs and must submit to testing; 80 hours of community service; must submit to a search of his person or property without a warrant if the field agent has reasonable cause; must be in approved residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless excused by obtaining written permission; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of possession of burglar’s tools dismissed.

conversion, $20,000 or more. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for eight days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; five months forthwith; and $400 in fines and costs.

Calhoun

Calhoun

– Christopher Phillip Calhoun, 37, of 312 N. Ottawa, Apt. 1, Sturgis, was found guilty Feb. 18 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. One count of controlled substance, imitation manufacture distribution was dismissed. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for one day served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; 90 days forthwith to run concurrently with sentence in Branch County; $125 in fines and costs; and driver’s license suspended 180 days. “Defendant was allowed to withdraw his plea to the felony and enter a plea to a reduced misdemeanor offense as he successfully completed his term of delayed supervision,” court records state.
