Malicious destruction of tractor, out-of-control student among sheriff’s office activity

SpringsteadHoriz_2HART — Deputies from the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a malicious destruction of a farm tractor complaint on Loop Road that was reported Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 11:02 a.m.

“The owner believed that some corrosive substance was put in the diesel tank and has damaged some engine components,” stated Lt. Craig Mast.

The sheriff’s department also responded to Hart Public Schools Tuesday at 2:21 p.m. to assist with an “out-of-control” male student, Mast said. “Our detective has been working with him to correct his behavior.”

– 5:59 p.m., motorist assist, N. Oceana Dr. and W. Polk Rd.

– 8:43 p.m., traffic stop, M-20 and S. 162nd Ave.
