WEARE TWP. — A Michigan Freeze Pack truck carrying a load of carrots flipped over on Oceana Drive near 72nd Avenue at approximately 10 a.m. Monday, causing one lane of Oceana Drive to be closed off briefly so the carrot spill could be cleaned up.

The 62-year-old man driving the 1979 Ford dump truck received minor injuries in the crash and sought his own treatment, said Michigan State Police Trooper Todd Goodrich of the Hart post. “Just some bumps and bruises,” Goodrich said. MSP, the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Oceana EMS and the Hart Fire Department responded to the scene.
