2 injured in Monroe Road crash.

WEARE TWP. — Two men were injured Saturday afternoon when the pickup truck they were in collided with a gravel pile in the construction zone of Monroe Road east of Oceana Drive. Pentwater and Hart fire departments responded to the scene along with Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and Oceana EMS.

The Chevrolet Pickup appeared to have been traveling east on Monroe about a half mile from Oceana Drive. The gravel pile was marked by construction barrels. The pickup belonged to Benny’s Evergreens of Hart. The road is closed for construction.

Deputy Jeff Brown said the incident was under investigation.
