The Village of Pentwater offers many opportunities this summer to appreciate music.
Pickin’ in Pentwater is every Tuesday at 7 p.m, and the Pentwater Civic Band concerts are every Thursday at 8 p.m. The venue for both events is the beautiful Village Green in the center of town.
The civic band concerts are a 67-year tradition.
Musicians and music lovers are invited to a relaxing evening listening to local musicians during Pickin’ in Pentwater.
The civic band plays marches, show tunes, old-time favorites and melodies. Each concert is closed with “Good Night Ladies.”
If you play an instrument and read music, bring your instrument and join the band. Band musicians are local residents and visitors. Arrive a few minutes early to receive music. Music is selected based on who arrives prior to the concert.
Don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets for both events.
