Super sluggers

Hart’s Spitler Elementary School students Skylar Smith and Blake Weirich are such standout sluggers, they are going to play on the same diamond as the Detroit Tigers.

Skylar, a fourth grader, and Blake, a second grader, made it to the Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run finals. They will compete, June 7, in Comerica Park before the Tigers take on the Boston Red Sox. Both players are in the top three for their age groups in the State of Michigan.
